[Tokyo Metropolitan University] Message from the President regarding support for international students and researchers enrolled at American universities
International students and researchers enrolled at American universities are in a difficult situation. As a university and a person involved in education and research, we believe that we must never stop the learning of international students and the activities of researchers.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has notified us to consider accepting international students enrolled at American universities, including Harvard University.
In addition to accepting international students, Tokyo Metropolitan University has also begun considering hiring researchers.
Recently, our university made an open call for applications for the "Chi no Miyako Project" to create an environment where young researchers can concentrate on their research and produce outstanding results, and we received applications from foreign researchers as well.
We will utilize this track record to make concrete preparations to recruit researchers enrolled at American universities.
We will provide further details as they become available.
