We invested in the Tokyo Green Blue Bond issued by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

In July 2021, Tokyo Metropolitan University Corporation became the first national or public university or technical college in Japan to issue a climate emergency declaration, declaring that the entire university would take the lead in contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. Furthermore, in March 2023, we formulated the "Carbon Neutral Promotion Plan" with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality in the 3s, and are taking specific measures such as conducting research at two universities and one technical college, creating and disseminating environmental reports, raising awareness through a logo mark, converting lighting equipment to LED, and installing carbon offset vending machines.
In this context, we have recently invested in the Tokyo Green Blue Bond* issued by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, with the aim of contributing to the achievement of carbon neutrality in Tokyo and, by extension, in the country through fund management. As a socially responsible public institution of higher education, we will continue to actively work towards the realization of a sustainable society.
*"Tokyo Green and Blue Bonds" are bonds issued by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to raise funds for green and blue projects carried out by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The funds raised through the issuance of these bonds will be used for the introduction of solar power generation equipment in metropolitan facilities, energy and global warming countermeasures in sewerage projects, etc.
