Research Support Fund

Request for support for the Research Support Fund

The Research Support Program aims to provide students (mainly graduate students) and young researchers, known as postdoctoral researchers, with assistance for their research and the necessary support to improve their capabilities as researchers.
Our university has been supporting students who aspire to become researchers by providing overseas training programs for graduate students, among other things. In order to provide even more comprehensive support, we would appreciate your kind support.

Main uses of donations

Your support will be used for the following initiatives:
- A program that covers the costs of research activities conducted as an independent researcher in a research project that is selected through public recruitment and in which participants participate
- A project to cover the costs of publishing papers, travel expenses to attend academic conferences, and other expenses necessary to present the results of research activities
- Projects that promote interaction with researchers in different fields, other researchers, or people with practical experience, with the primary goal of improving the abilities and qualities of researchers in their field of expertise.

Benefits for donors

Posting your name

To express our gratitude for your support, we will publish the names of those who donated (only those who have given consent for publication).
For details, here.(Name list of guests, donor nameplate, large donor web nameplate)

Tax incentives

Individuals who donate 2,000 yen or more are eligible for a donation deduction on their "income tax" and "resident tax" in some areas. In addition, individuals who support the project are eligible for a "tax deduction."

In the case of donations from individuals

Due to the tax reform in fiscal year 2020, donations from individuals to research support funds run by national university corporations and other organizations are now eligible for a "tax deduction" in addition to the previous "income deduction."
Donations to our university's Research Support Fund fall under the above category, so when filing your tax return, donors are asked to choose either the income deduction or tax credit, whichever is more advantageous.

Tax credit
This is a system that allows individuals to directly deduct a certain percentage of their donations from their income tax. Since it is directly deducted from the amount of income tax regardless of the tax rate, for many people it has a greater tax reduction effect than income deductions.

Precautions

・If you donate using the donation form, the receipt will be issued approximately 2 to 3 months after the application date (settlement date).
If you wish to apply using a method other than the donation form, please contact us with your inquiries.
