VOICES Voices from senior staff

Voices from senior staff №2

General Affairs Department, General Affairs Division, General Affairs Section, Safety and Health Management S. K (male employee) [Recruited in April 24]

■Introducing my current job

We take safety and health measures at universities and technical colleges to ensure that students, faculty and staff can have a safe and healthy university/technical college life and work life.

■What has been difficult so far?

Safety and health management operations require specialized knowledge based on laws and regulations. Therefore, when I first started working, I spent a lot of time acquiring the knowledge necessary for my work.

■What made you happy?

I felt very fulfilled and happy when I was able to discover and solve problems in my work on my own.

■What do you usually keep in mind?

It's about putting your full effort into each task. Even if I make a mistake, I work hard at my work with the mindset that I will not let it be a failure, but will continue to work hard and gain confidence until I see results.

■What's the atmosphere like at work?

There are a lot of positive and bright people, and it's a workplace with a balance between being kind and strict at times.

■What made you want to apply?

I had the opportunity to interact with the staff through activities during my student days. As I listened to stories about university management, unique university initiatives, and student support, I became interested in university staff. My desire to create an environment in which students can grow as individuals grew even stronger, and I decided to apply to become a university employee.

■What is the difference between the image you had at the beginning and after joining the company?

Before I started working, I had a strong image of dealing with students, but my current job is mainly internal management and I don't have much contact with students, which is different from my image.

■What kind of work would you like to do in the future?

I would like to experience working with students. We would like to provide opportunities for students to grow significantly as individuals through their work.

■What are your future aspirations?

The goal is to become a corporate employee as soon as possible. Since I don't have enough knowledge or experience, I think it will be difficult to achieve this goal right away, but I will try my best to catch up with my senior staff as soon as possible with a "challenge spirit".

■A message to everyone aiming to become a corporate employee

This corporation has various operations. This is true for all types of work, but your approach to work and your approach to it will vary greatly depending on your own perspective and way of thinking. I look forward to working with people who are able to persevere and complete work tasks until the end, even when the situation is difficult.
