It has been discovered that unauthorized access to a Google account obtained personally by a faculty member of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Graduate School of Business Administration may have resulted in the leakage of personal information of applicants for events hosted by the university's Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Graduate School of Business Administration, as well as information on emails sent and received by the faculty member in the past.

We offer our deepest apologies to all those involved for causing concern and anxiety. At this time, we have not received any reports of personal information leaks or related damage, but we will continue to work to gather information regarding this incident and will work across the university to thoroughly manage information to prevent a recurrence.
